Fresh Paneer

Paneer is prepared by adding food acid, such as lemon juice, vinegar, citric acid or dahi (yogurt), to hot milk to separate the curds from the whey. The curds are drained in muslin or cheesecloth and the excess water is pressed out. The resulting paneer is dipped in chilled water for 2–3 hours to improve its texture and appearance. From this point, the preparation of paneer diverges based on its use and regional tradition. Paneer is the most common type of cheese used in traditional cuisines from the Indian subcontinent. It is sometimes wrapped in dough and deep-fried or served with either spinach (palak paneer) or peas (mattar paneer). Paneer is used in main dishes as well as desserts and snacks.

Indian Oil

We use Mustard Oil for cooking, Hair Oiling and other purposes. Mustard oil has a strong sinus-irritating aroma, a hot nutty taste, and is the choicest cooking medium in most parts of India. Mustard oil is an important item of our daily food. We cannot cook fish, meat or vegetables without it. The edible oil is produced in the following way. Mustard seeds are collected from market. They are properly cleaned and dried in the sun. The oil makes up about 30% – 34% of the mustard seeds. It can be produced from black mustard though production from brown Indian mustard is mostly undertaken as it yields higher pungency suited to the Indian palate. Since the oil extracted may contain impurities, the oil is meticulously cleaned by means of sedimentation and double filtration. The purified oil is then packaged under careful supervision in a controlled environment in clean and hygienic containers. Each package is sealed and cushion packed into cardboard boxes such that it reaches you in the same condition as it left us.

Soybean / Tofu Paneer

Soybeans are certainly one of the most important crops grown around the world, contributing protein and oil to the world. In America the soybean is often known as the “golden bean” or “miracle bean”. Soybeans originated in Southeast Asia. Soya are used for food products for humans, as well as animals. Some of the foods include: soy sauce, soy milk, soy yogurt, tempeh, oil, and tofu. Tofu is made from soybean curd. Though today soy is commonly used in food products, it was initially utilized for its nitrogen-fixing abilities in order to counteract rice’s tendency to strip soil of much of its needed nitrogen. The estrogen-like properties of soy known as isoflavones are thought by many to be the reason for soy’s supposed health benefits, and for this reason, we will refer to soy intake in terms of isoflavone milligrams.
